Decision on parking in Arundel will be made in January next year

As I am sure you are aware, the public consultation for a proposed parking scheme in parts of Arundel has come to an end.

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who took the time to comment.

The results will be presented as a report to the Joint Downland Area Committee meeting on January 21, 2013. Officers from West Sussex County Council will do no further work in relation to the proposed scheme during that time.

At the January meeting, my fellow councillors and I will decide whether to proceed with further consultation or drop proposals altogether.

In advance of that meeting, members of the public will be able to read the report via the County Local Committee pages on the County Council’s website.
