BUDDING Lewis Hamiltons had the chance to show off their skills behind the wheel when a giant slotcar racing circuit came to the Selsey Centre.
The eight-lane circuit came to the complex as part of the Selsey Festival, which also hosted a display from the Selsey Model Boat Club.
Prizes, donated by several of the Formula 1 teams such as Red Bull Racing and Honda F1, were up for grabs for t
he fastest laps around the track.
Les Johnson, of East Beach, Selsey, said: "We've got our grandchildren staying down for the summer holidays and it was a great place to take them to."
The entire sports hall was taken up for the slotcar circuit on August 14. The Selsey Model Boat Club had several vessels, with tanks and other related models on show for visitors.
One model, designed by Peter Fisher of the Selsey club, was of the fisherman's hut in East Beach which has been in the owner's family for four generations.
Goodwood Marshals Club was also in attendance.
