Glorious sunshine was the scene for a fun fete at Funtington Primary School on Saturday (July 19).
The event was a huge success, raising around £3,500 for the school.

Author Robert Rankin opened the fete, and steel-pan drumming and belly dancing kept everyone entertained throughout the day.

While dads battled it out in the tug of war, youngsters got into character for the fancy-dress contest and the home-made tea and cake tent did a roaring trade.

Chairman of the school's Parent Teacher Association Julie Patterson said everyone was very pleased with how it went.

"The weather was absolutely fantastic and the support we had was phenomenal," she said.

"We couldn't have done it without everyone's help. Everyone showed huge dedication."
