EXTRA night-time buses are being provided to help Chichester and Bognor clubbers get home safely.
From tomorrow there will be additional Friday and Saturday night bus services to meet growing demand from clubbers who use the special service to Thursdays nightclub near Oving.

Stagecoach are adding a double-decker bus to enhance the service that operates between selected stops in Chichester and Bognor.

There will be four departing bus services from 10.30pm from Chichester and 10.45pm from Bognor, at 30-minute intervals.

Services on Tuesday evenings will remain unchanged. Latest return buses will be at 3.45am to Bognor, 2.15am on Tuesday, and 4am to Chichester, 3.10am on Tuesdays.

The bus will remain free for those returning from the nightclub but a £1 fare will now be introduced for those travelling to the venue.

Thursdays' general manager Richard Nye said: "Our rural location makes the need for affordable, frequent, reliable transport crucial for the safety and convenience of our customers. We estimate that 35 per cent of these now travel to and from the club using the service."

Jo Howe, Stagecoach's operations manager at Chichester, said all-night bus services including the special double-deckers used on the Thursdays' route would be equipped with CCTV cameras for the protection of the drivers and travellers.

Bus marshalls provided by the nightclub will continue to help ensure good conduct of passengers.
