FORMER EastEnder Victoria Gould will be on more civilised territory when she plays Daisy of Gert 'n Daisy fame for the Steyning Festival.
Back for the third year running Victoria will be joined by Olivier Award nominee Carol Sloman as Gert in Gert 'n' Daisy And The Irish Affair by Suzi Hopkins on Saturday June 6 at 11.30am and 2.30pm.

Doris and Elsie Waters – creators of Gert and Daisy - were real-life sisters to Dixon of Dock Green star Jack Warner. They lived in a cottage bungalow in Steyning for more than 35 years.

The popular comic duo had moved from music hall beginnings to popular radio shows to starring in several wartime blitz spirit films. Their best known characters were Gert 'n' Daisy – "slightly down at heel East End girls", Victoria explains.
